Circle of Absurdity: Killing the Extremists We Create

via truth dig – The U.S. military remains mired in countless wars in the Greater Middle East. Ironically – and tragically – it tends to combat Islamists that Washington either armed or birthed.

We, Americans, truly are a strange lot. Our government in Washington – ostensibly representative of “We the People” – speaks of peace, but wages endless war, prattles on about “freedom,” but backs absolute monarchs and authoritarian strongmen the world over. A bipartisan array of politicians warns of the evils of radical Islamic (though Islamist is more accurate) terrorism; and yet, truthfully, the US once supported and/or funded those same extremists not too long ago. In some cases, and certain circumstances, it backs them still; until, that is, all those guns are turned on the US military, or those fighters threaten Washington’s (ever shifting) “interests.”

Perhaps, one imagines, there are lessons here: be careful who you arm; be careful where you meddle; today’s “friends” are, all too often, tomorrow’s enemies; and, in the turbulent Middle East, sometimes less is more.

Washington would do well to remember that before its next – and there will be a next – intervention. Continue reading Circle of Absurdity: Killing the Extremists We Create

After Increasing Nat’l Debt a TRILLION in 6 Months, US Gov’t Just Gave Themselves a Massive Raise

Only hours after receiving a massive 2,200 page, $1.3 trillion dollar spending bill, both the House and the Senate voted to pass it. Why? Because it gives them all raises.

bill

via The Free Thought Project – Washington, D.C. — This week, the US Congress passed the massive 1.3 trillion-dollar Omnibus spending bill. Then, early Friday morning, the Senate did the same thing. None of these politicians in Washington likely had any time to read it because the 2,200-page legislation was given to them only hours before they voted on it.

The Senate passed the proposal by a bipartisan 65-32 vote. The House approved the bill Thursday afternoon by a 256-167 vote with bipartisan backing. Exactly why this massive spending bill would receive such large bipartisan support by hundreds of politicians who never read it would be a mystery to those who don’t understand how broken Washington is.

However, to those paying attention, the reason is obvious—it gives the state more money. Both Republicans and Democrats in the House and Senate increased their own budgets in the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending package.

The Senate alone increased its total salaries of officers and employees by $12.6 million.

As the Free Beacon reports,

Salaries of staffers in the Senate are also set for an increase. Division I of the legislation breaks down the total salaries of officers and employees, which are being raised from $182 million in 2017 to $194.8 million in the final bill, an increase of $12.58 million. The Senate also increased its expense account, as expense allowances are going from $177,000 to $192,000, an increase of $15,000.

It wasn’t just the Senate though. Every single government agency (except for the Government Publishing Office, which remains the same), has increased their department’s budget in this bill—to the tune of hundreds of millions.

When you allow people to vote themselves raises twice a year, what else would you expect?

These are the same people who just increased the national debt by a trillion dollars—in only six months. Last week, the national debt exceeded $21 trillion for the first time ever, a little more than six months after it hit first $20 trillion on Sept. 8, 2017.

These people are addicted to your tax revenue and their addiction is ensuring the future debt slavery of our great-great-grandchildren, and their children.

During a Tweetstorm Thursday night, as he tried to read as much of the bill as he could before he was forced to vote on it, Sen. Rand Paul pointed out some of the most ridiculous points he found in it so far.

According to Paul, the US government has become so disgustingly gluttonous that they spend $1.7 billion a year to maintain 770,000 EMPTY buildings—all the while, purchasing more property.

As America college students dig themselves a never-ending pit of debt as they progress through higher education, the US is doling out tens of billions of dollarsto pay for college in other countries as well as support their militaries.

Also contained in this bill is the legislation that has the potential to strip millions of law-abiding Americans, including veterans, of their 2nd Amendment rights.

As The Free Thought Project reported in December, the Fix NICS Act will pressure federal agencies and states to report as many names as possible to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, “making it only a matter of time before this list becomes so large that nearly any activity could serve to remove your Second Amendment rights.”

Although versions of the bill have been proposed in both the Senate and the House, and have received support from Republicans, Democrats and even the National Rifle Association, Rep. Thomas Massie warned that Congress will try to pass the Fix NICS Act by rolling it into another bill that looks harmless.

He was right, and both the House and the Senate have now passed it, hidden away in a massive raise for all of Washington.

Ah, but fret not free world, on Friday morning, Donald Trump said he is considering a veto of the spending bill.

The money pouring into foreign governments, the rights-violating gun control legislation, the bloated raises for an already-spoiled government, and the fact that it will add hundreds of billions more to the national debt in a very short time are areas where Trump seems most concerned. Just kidding. He’s fine with all that.

The reason Trump wants to veto the bill is that it doesn’t grant him the full amount of money he needs to turn America into East Berlin by constructing a useless and expensive wall along the US/Mexican border.

Apparently, freedom, fighting corruption, decreasing debt, and promoting the ideas of liberty all take a back seat to “muh wall.” Congratulations America, you are finally seeing what happens when we constantly vote in the lesser of two evils.

74% Of Americans Believe The “Deep State” Is Running The Country

via ZeroHedge – For the past two years, the long-running narrative, at least that promulgated by the mainstream media which continues to “explain away” Hillary Clinton’s loss to Donald Trump, is that Americans had fallen for a massive, long-running fake news scam (in part aided and abetted by the likes of Facebook), which boosted Trump’s popularity at the expense of Hillary’s as part of some giant “Russian collusion” conspiracy theory between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin (which Mueller was supposed to uncover, but has instead shifted to investigating obstruction, seemingly unable to find anything).

But what if that entire narrative is dead wrong: what if Americans have become so skeptical in the government process and structure, they never needed a “fake news” boost to vote for an establishment outsider?

According to a new poll, that’s precisely the case because a supermajority of Americans believes the faction of unelected officials, known as the deep state, is orchestrating policy in Washington, D.C. and effectively running the nation.

The Monmouth University Polling Institute found that no less than 74% of Americans believe in a “deep state” when it is described as a collection of unelected officials running policy. Only 21% do not believe this kind of group exists.

Seattle Police Begin NAZI STYLE Gun Confiscation: No Laws Broken, No Warrant, No Charges

via SHTFPlan – A man in Seattle has had his gun confiscated by police after breaking no laws. The police took his gun without a warrant and without pressing any charges.  Tyranny has officially taken hold on American soil.

This sets a precedent that government can now forcefully take guns away from an individual without a crime being committed or an arrest being made and without a warrant. In the name of fear and political exploitation of anti-gun rhetoric, a citizen’s Second Amendment rights have been ripped away from him by the government.

The new “red flag” law, which has taken hold in other states already, allows the courts and law enforcement to take away guns from individuals they deem are dangerous and they’ve just begun the confiscation. A man living in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, Washington became the first individual in the state to have his firearm confiscated without any formal arrest or charges.  The man was not identified by authorities.

America as a System – Everything becomes obvious

By Chris Kanthan

Are you perturbed by what’s happening in America? Are you shocked by inequality, disappearing middle class, declining quality of health, police brutality, gun violence, ever-growing national debt, government’s Orwellian monitoring, etc.? You are not alone, but all these are confusing only if you think in terms of an “American government” or “American corporations” or “American banks” that have, or should have, unique loyalty or consideration towards the people who happen to live here.

Instead, everything becomes obvious if you think of it as a “System.”

Why would we be surprised that there are millions of Americans who work full time and yet live in poverty, when the System exploits people in other countries for much, much lower wages? In the cost-savings Excel sheet of the System, a Walmart worker is still 10x more expensive than the worker from that ‘other’ country.

You wouldn’t be surprised by Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase defrauding American homeowners if you realize how the System brought down whole countries such as Greece, Spain, Italy, Ireland and Portugal using the same financial engineering schemes, lies and manipulations.  Most of these countries are now being devastated by the austerity programs demanded by the same System. The U.S. Is a Failed State – The Evidence

Editor’s note: We must act on truths.  We can ignore things, but not their consequences.  The Failure of the United States is past tense…  not some future.  It’s here and now.

Social Collapse

The U.S. cannot and will not protect its citizens against attacks by violent armed assailants, especially as politicians are being bought off by gun manufacturers and the National Rifle Association.

The U.S. will not provide jobs or a living wage to a significant proportion of its population, especially youth and racial minorities.

The refusal of Congress to pass national single-payer health insurance is genocidal for the poor, the young, the elderly, and the underprivileged.

U.S. industry is poisoning the natural environment as the bee population is killed off by glyphosate and fungicides (ed: and Geoengineering chemicals and frequencies) and the food supply is degraded with GMOs and GE foods.

85% of Americans unhappy with Congress, most think it serves lobbyists, not the people

85% of Americans unhappy with Congress, most think it serves lobbyists, not the people
via RT – The overwhelming majority of Americans, irrespective of party allegiance, holds a dismal opinion of Congress, a fresh poll shows. It found 89 percent of Democrats and 82 percent of Republicans disapprove of the legislature’s work.

The new poll, published by the Associated Press-NORC Center on Monday, revealed that a total of 85 percent of Americans believe the Congress’s job is below par. The attitude to the Republican-controlled legislature does not change much across party lines. The number of Democrats that held an unfavorable view of Congress, 89 percent, is only seven percentage points higher than that of Republicans, at 82 percent.

While the figures are a bit more reassuring when it comes to the members of Congress, the immediate representatives of those surveyed, they are still hardly anything to brag about.

Lawyers For The DNC Argue That Primary Rigging Is Protected By The First Amendment

via disobedient media – The ongoing litigation of the DNC Fraud Lawsuit and the appeal regarding its dismissal took a stunning turn yesterday. The defendants in the case, including the DNC and former DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, filed a response brief that left many observers of the case at a loss for words.

The document, provided by the law offices of the Attorneys for the Plaintiffs in the case, Jared and Elizabeth Beck, and appears to argue that if the Democratic Party did cheat Sanders in the 2016 Presidential primary race, then that action was protected under the first amendment. Twitter users were quick to respond to the brief, expressing outrage and disgust at the claims made by representatives of the DNC and Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

The Defense counsel also argued that because of Jared Beck’s outspoken twitter posts, the plaintiffs were using the litigation process for political purposes: “For example, Plaintiffs’ counsel Jared Beck repeatedly refers to the DNC as “shi*bags” on Twitter and uses other degrading language in reference to Defendants.” Fascinatingly, no mention is made regarding the importance of First Amendment at this point in the document.

After The Feds REPEATEDLY Violate Man’s Rights And Property, He SUES

via SHTFPlan – An elderly man is suing two federal government agencies for Constitutional rights violations. The rancher claims that both agencies trespassed on his property and installed cameras on his trees without his permission – but the icing on the cake was when they threatened to arrest him.

According to ARS Technica, last November a 74-year-old rancher and attorney was walking around his ranch just south of Encinal, Texas, when he happened upon a small portable camera strapped approximately eight feet high onto a mesquite tree near his son’s home. The camera was encased in green plastic and had a transmitting antenna. The rancher removed the camera, and that’s when the trouble began for the feds involved in this property violation.

US must immediately leave area it controls in southern Syria — Lavrov

US must immediately leave area it controls in southern Syria — Lavrov
via RT – US troops must immediately shut down their zone of control in southern Syria in the area of Al-Tanf, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov suggested when asked what should be done to help the Syrian peace settlement.

Lavrov was referring to an area on Syria’s border with Jordan and Iraq, which the US declared to be under its protection last year. Among other things, it contains the Rukban refugee camp. The facility is apparently used by radical militants, including members of UN-designated terrorist group best known by its former name Al-Nusra Front, to recover and raid other parts of Syria, Lavrov said at the Valdai Club conference on the Middle East in Moscow. The US is turning a blind eye to such abuses of its protection, he added.

“Inside the Al-Tanf zone, which the Americans unilaterally declared under their protection, and inside the refugee camp jihadists are regularly reported to recover strength. On several occasions they conducted raids from there into other territory of the Syrian Arab Republic. This zone must be shut down immediately,” the Russian minister said.

“Our colleagues from the UN for some reason are hesitant to say that humanitarian convoys cannot get into this US-controlled area because the US would not guarantee their safety,” Lavrov added. “Instead they focus attention on the humanitarian situation in Idlib or Eastern Ghouta.”

The minister added Russia has mounting evidence that the US has no intention to oppose this jihadist group in earnest.

The response came after a question from the think tank International Crisis Group about what “Russia could do more” in Syria to prevent an escalation of violence there, particularly between Iran and Israel. Lavrov said the question should be “what the US could refrain from doing” in Syria and that the answer was “stop playing dangerous games” and cease trying to partition the nation.

The Americans “in the territories they patronize east of the Euphrates River and all the way to the state border with Iraq create governing bodies which are designed by intention to have no links with Damascus,” he pointed out.

Lavrov also commented on the situation in the southwestern part of Syria on the border with Jordan and Israel – which was designated as a “de-escalation zone” by Syria, Russia, Turkey and Iran – and Israel’s interests in Syria. Israel accuses Iran of using proxy forces to seize control of parts of southern Syria, including those along the border, and has threatened to use military force to reverse the situation.

“We negotiated the creation of this zone with Jordan and the US and it’s not a secret that our Israeli colleagues were informed about what we discussed,” he said. “Now to implement everything we had agreed on we have to focus on one particular article, which said all parties to the agreement would work to make sure that no non-Syrian forces were present inside and near this de-escalation zone.”

The Russian diplomat added that the US carving out the Al-Tanf area was the exact opposite – a unilateral move that no other party agreed to.

The dispute between Israel and Iran, Lavrov said, certainly complicated the situation in Syria, and Moscow believes both parties need to take steps to defuse it. For instance, Iran’s statements that Israel was a Zionist entity that needs to be destroyed are perceived as absolutely unacceptable in Russia. But neither does Russia see as constructive Israel’s policy of turning every problem in the region into a vehicle for opposing Iran, he said.

“This is what we see in Syria, this is what we see in Yemen, and even the latest developments around the Palestinian issue, including Washington’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s exclusive capital, are to a large extent caused by the very same anti-Iranian bias,” Lavrov explained. “Both attitudes pose a risk of further damaging the situation in the region, which is already very pitiful.”

The Russian minister suggested that Israel and Iran should try to address their differences – including the latest flare-up involving an Iranian drone destroyed by Israel after reportedly violating the airspace of the Jewish state – by taking them to the UN for proper resolution. “Otherwise we will be rolling down the slope to a situation in which every incident is simply blamed on the other party and used to justify military action.”

Congress introduces new set of bills to limit the right to seek justice against major corporations

Congress has countenanced a large number of bills over the course of the past year that deal with deregulating industry either by removing regulations entirely or else knocking out their teeth.

via The Duran – by .  – The court system provides a way for citizens to ensure that their rights are upheld when the corporate interests of profit engage in exploitative and destructive activities. It’s a way to level the playing field and ensure that they are held accountable and that everyone’s rights remain intact. However, with the new political atmosphere currently in play in legislative circles, many major corporations are circling congress like a bunch of vultures.

NASA scientists: People are born “creative geniuses” but get dumbed down by the U.S. education system

Image: NASA scientists: People are born “creative geniuses” but get dumbed down by the U.S. education system

(Natural News) by . Would you consider yourself a creative genius? If you asked other people that question, perhaps some might answer in the affirmative. But the vast majority of individuals, when confronted with that question, might say no. It’s not that they don’t really think they are the type of person to be considered creative or a genius. It’s just that they no longer see themselves as creative individuals. The older the person, the higher the chance that they would answer no to the question. This is based on the results of a shocking new study that posits that all people are creative geniuses at birth. It’s just that the system of education ends up dumbing them down as they move through it.

According to Dr. George Land, he was once contacted by the National Aeronautics Space Agency (NASA) and another expert named Beth Jarman in order to develop a special cognitive test that would be able to determine the so-called creative potential of NASA engineers and rocket scientists. After formulating the test, they gave it to NASA for it to be used, and it was found to be highly effective in fulfilling NASA’s wishes. It wasn’t long after that when scientists began to wonder certain things about creativity in the human brain.

Where Do Your Taxes Go?

According to the 2001 World Almanac, the federal government claimed just over $1 trillion in revenues from income taxes in 2000—up from $895 billion in 1999.
In the world of the working class, we put our few hundred dollars into a checking account to cover the checks we write to pay our monthly bills; savings are minimal, if any at all.
In the world of high finance and multi-billion dollar budgets, things are more complex. This is a world of politicians, lawyers, accountants, businessmen and bankers; a world of credit, fractional reserve banking, interest, stocks, bonds, trusts, annuities, futures, letters of credit and other financial instruments.
We are taught to believe our taxed labors are applied directly to building and maintaining roads, bridges, schools, parks and national forests for the public good. However, research shows that the $1 trillion collected is not deposited into any bank account to pay the nation’s bills.
So, the next logical questions are, “Where are all these tax dollars going?” and “How is the federal government funded?

Most people believe their tax dollars are applied directly to the expenses of government. An extension of this same belief promotes people’s desire to pay their fair share of the tax burden so we can all enjoy the benefits of living in America.

US Median Family Net Worth Under 1989 Level: Debt-to-Money Worst Since 62

As the stock market soars to new highs, here’s some sobering statistics to consider:

The stock market is at an all-time high but Americans Owe More, Save Less, and are Poorer Than in Decades.

Negative Wealth Percentage On the Rise

  1. A greater share of Americans have more debt than money in the bank than at any point since 1962, according to Deutsche Bank economist Torsten Slok.
  2. 30.4% of US families have negative net worth despite the recovery in housing and the stock market.
  3. Median net worth is below where it was in 1989.
  4. Inflation adjusted, net worth may be the worst in history. $78,000 is not worth what it was in 1989, to say the least.
